At Natural Garden Soaps I, Paula Parrish the master soap maker, do things the old fashioned way. I hand select natural ingredients, blend them in small batches and pour them into wooden molds. All of my handmade soaps are made with olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, pure essential oils, pure distilled water and my own backyard botanicals. My backyard botanicals include herbs, fruits, vegetables and flowers from my own organic garden.

Many people complain about commercially made soap making their skin feel dry and itchy. They reach for lotion as soon as they get out of the shower. Glycerin is a humectant. When I create a batch of soap, saponification occurs and natural glycerin is created. That means my soap attracts moisture to the skin. Many commercial soap makers extract the glycerin and sell it to be used in higher priced beauty products. This leaves their soaps drying to the skin.
